It takes a lot of work and not a little creativity to get kids to do their chores on-time and without complaining. That’s why I’ve got 20 new chore charts that now include two new categories, just to help parents and teachers keep things fun and interesting.
If you don’t want to actually pay your kids to do their chores, you might consider chore bucks, which are colorful bills ranging in denomination from $1 to $50 but only have the value that you give to them. Give these out to kids who do their chores efficiently and peacefully as an incentive to receive a reward at the end of the week. All of them have cute, fun designs that include crowns, smiley faces, and stacks of gold coins.
If you’d rather make chores more of a game, you can try the new chore wheels that leave the child’s weekly tasks up to fate. A spin of the colorful wheel determines garbage, sweeping and laundry duties. There’s also one for outdoor activities such as gardening.
The 128 printables at ChoreCharts.net are free to download and print as a PDF. These can be written on by hand, but if you want to edit them in a word processor, a DOC version is available for $5.
