New Sample Obituaries

by Kay on April 3, 2015

If you’re a funeral director, a newspaper reporter, or just someone who has recently lost a loved one, you may have had to write an obituary. It can be a lot harder than it seems, which is why my site ObituaryHelp.net has dozens of new sample obituaries, articles, and forms that can help answer questions.

Many of the 18 new additions are obituary examples that provide a format and a sample of the tone, structure, style, and information included in a standard newspaper obituary. Some are crafted specifically for tough situations, such as the death of a child, a death by accident or suicide, or a situation involved divorce and remarriage.

There are also plenty of new obituary articles intended to answer the difficult questions surrounding a death. If the deceased was gay or lesbian, changed their name or gender, was divorced, died by suicide or addiction, or was estranged from family members, there are ways of tastefully addressing these situations in an obituary. There’s also an article on writing your own obituary if you’re so inclined, and forms for ordering an obituary or funeral program.

ObituaryHelp.net has nearly 50 printable obituaries that can be downloaded as a free, editable DOC or copied and pasted directly from the website. Make sure that you’re prepared for the worst, and able to sympathetically and accurately provide a testament to the deceased.
