Character Reference Letters

by Kay on June 21, 2016

It can be stressful asking someone to vouch for you, or being asked to vouch for someone else. My site, CharacterReferenceLetters.com, makes the process of writing a character reference letter easier by providing templates with sample wording that can be customized to suit any situation.

The site has 25 new letter templates, so there’s a total of 139 letter templates from which to choose for professional, personal or legal purposes.

The character reference letters complement the templates at my letter of recommendation, site, LettersOfRecommendation.net, which focuses predominantly on letters for employment and academic pursuits.

CharacterReferenceLetters.com also has example letters relating to personal character, intended for someone appearing in court, adopting a child, serving in a volunteer capacity, setting educational goals, renting a house, seeking to have a court record expunged, and needing a reduction in bail.

The site also has a Testimonials section consisting of client opinions that can be included in portfolios, on company websites, and elsewhere. The selection includes testimonials for a dentist, a therapist, a travel agency, a nutritionist and other comments that are useful to businesses or prospective clients.

CharacterReferenceLetters.com also has articles with tips on how to ask for a letter of reference, how to write a letter, and how to turn someone down.

These free letters can be downloaded and edited in Microsoft Word or another DOC-compatible program. Or, just cut and paste the wording from the site.
