I started this site five years ago with the goal of helping make it easier for people to find the right words in memorializing somebody. The site dozens of sample obituaries as well as programs and invitations for funerals, memorials, and other services.
Everything at ObituaryHelp.com is free to download, customize, and print.
The newest templates include examples of death notices, which tend to be shorter and less personal than obits.
I recently added a new category to ObituaryHelp.net for eulogies, which are typically spoken by guests at memorial services. They include: eulogies for a colleague, for a parent, for a sibling, and for a pet. There is also a very formal eulogy and a fill-in-the-blanks eulogy.
The site also has articles with tips on how to structure an obituary for publication and other issues such as finding the right wording for sensitive situations. The newest articles cover eulogies, thank you notes, and attending funerals.
Most of the templates can be downloaded in DOC format and edited with Microsoft Word or another compatible program. The funeral programs and invitations are formatted as editable DOC files.
Whether you’re trying to capture a colorful life or simply share details about funeral services, ObituaryHelp.net can be a useful resource.
