New Printable Writing Templates Site

by Kay on February 1, 2013

I’ve got a brand new Web site up that I made especially for teachers of young students. WritingTemplates.net, with its 100-plus printable writing templates is a fun way to help children practice their handwriting, letters, and penmanship skills. The 106 templates are arranged by theme; some have prompts while others feature cute and fun background pictures.

Many of the animal, seasonal, or food writing templates can double as coloring pages. The lines are placed directly against pictures of an apple, an elephant, a snowman or a gingerbread house. Why not add some incentive to an assignment and let students color in their picture once they finish practicing their letters?

While holiday, alphabet, and monthly printables can be inspirational for teachers and students depending on the time of year, some of the categories feature writing templates with instructional prompts. This is a great way to get kids to organize their thoughts into a logical narrative, whether it’s giving step-by-step instructions on how to do a puzzle or describing a recent birthday.
You can download and print all of the writing templates as a free PDF file, or opt for the $20 collection, which can be invaluable when you need a quick and quiet activity for a rowdy classroom.
