Greetings from beautiful Amsterdam, where my wife and I are enjoying a getaway while the kids are home getting spoiled by Grandpa.
This city is amazing! We’re celebrating my wife’s birthday, but the locals are celebrating big-time: It’s Koninginnedag, or Queen’s Day, a national holiday to celebrate the Netherlands’ Queen Beatrix. It was basically an all-day party, with festivals, relaxing, and everyone dressed completely in orange. It’s the tradition for Queen’s Day. Here are a few pictures from our trip.

I am so jealous. My husband and I visited Amsterdam a few years ago and loved the city. The people were wonderful and the sights amazing. I didn’t want to come home.
