A good business card should present your services quickly and attractively, and that’s just what my new batch of 40 new printable business cards do over at FreePrintableBusinessCards.net. Whether you want an abstract picture or a focus on a specific field, there’s something eye-catching for everyone.

A lot of the new designs are abstract business cards decorated with various textured metals, plaster and stone. These are great for builders, construction workers and artists or designers.

There are also a number of corporate business cards featuring everything from urban city skylines to careers in modeling, acupuncture, typing and teaching. There are also bright, cute cards decorated with sunflowers, shoes, fish and stamps for fun, personal purposes.

There are 1,171 business cards at FreePrintableBusinessCards.net. A free version is available with a permanent URL of the site, whereas the version with the editable URL costs $3. Both come as DOC files that can be filled in with a word processor. A business card with a unique QR data code can be made using the custom card-maker.

It’s time to start preparing for the new school year! But getting ready doesn’t have to be a chore, because whether you’re a teacher, student or parent, I have printables at the FreePrintable.net websites that will help you prepare for the upcoming term.

There are a lot of new printable lesson plans, worksheets, grading rubrics and classroom management tools at TeachersPrintables.net. Teachers can find good uses for the number, counting and value charts that are partially filled in, as well as multiplication and addition exercises. Notable new additions include colorable flags and blackline maps of major countries and continents. These are great for teachers to use as a teaching aid or as a format guide.

All templates are available for free as a PDF that can be printed and filled in by hand, or a DOC file that can be edited in a word processor and which costs several dollars. Alternatively, you can purchase all 416 templates in one teachers printables collection. A license for a single teacher costs $27, while the price for a license that allows an entire school to print and copy as much as its staff desires is $67.

In addition to the forms for teachers, I have plenty of templates that can be used by parents and students. One of my most popular is PrintablePaper.net, which has 1,111 paper printables that are a great preparation tools for filling one’s notebook. I have all the standards such as wide-rule, college-rule and graph paper, but I also have music staff paper, penmanship paper and even 3D paper for really cool projects. All paper is free as a printable PDF or $4 for a customizable DOC version.

I’ve got a whole new category devoted just to student planners at PrintablePlanners.net. These are handy as a comprehensive notebook and can be easily inserted in a binder and kept as an organizational tool. They cover everything from essay tracking to test planning to budget control. Like the other 355 templates, they’re free to print as a PDF or $4 for an editable DOC.

Finally, if you’re a student, then at some point you’re going to have to study for a test (a bummer, I know) and there’s no easier way to do so than with my free flash card maker at PrintableFlashCards.net. Just type in your questions and answers and print out the cards as four or six a page. I also have more than 200 ready-made, printable flash cards that can be downloaded and printed for free. Good news for kids who like to do art and play pretend: I’ve added 25 new printable paper dolls at PrintablePaperDolls.net and 30 new printable masks at PrintableMasks.net. Most of the new templates have a colorful, illustrated version as well a blank version that can be colored in.

All of the new additions at PrintablePaperDolls.net are celebrity paper dolls inspired by movie stars, models, singers and actors from the 1950s, ’60s and ’70s. One calls to mind a black-haired rock and roll singer with gyrating hips and a crooning voice. Another is reminiscent of a beautiful debutante who spends her mornings at expensive jewelry stores.

These are fun not only for kids but for nostalgic adults. Each one has a number of outfits and accessories and is free to download and print as a PDF file.

Over at PrintableMasks.net I have provided a number of various human masks for kids to try out. These extend from positive models such as male and female cave-miners, Navy captains, astronauts and chefs, to more outlandish careers such as bandits, cowboys and professional wrestlers. There are masks of walruses and dogs, and even a few strangely cuddly monster masks.

For both the paper dolls and the masks, I recommend printing on cardstock or laminating them after you cut them out. That way you’ll have a sturdier, more resilient toy. For full instructions on the best way to make the masks, check out my helpful guide on how to make a mask.

Grocery shopping can be a challenge, especially if you’re dealing with a special diet, allergy or lifestyle change. That’s why I’ve got 23 new printable grocery lists that can serve as a guide, a reference or just a blank template to be filled in.

A lot of the new additions are specialty grocery lists for people with unusual circumstances. This includes shopping lists for new parents, victims of a cold or flu, those recuperating from a surgery, and people preparing for an emergency. These lists are filled in with helpful suggestions of what to buy or not to buy for each situation.

I’ve also created a new category at the site. There are now four different printable expiration labels that are compatible with the Avery 5163 label template. Each one features a picture of a different kind of food such as dairy, meat, casserole and fruit. There’s space to write in the date the food was bought and the date it will likely expire.

Finally, there are several menu planners that cover a month’s worth of groceries, a lunchbox planner for school lunches, and some colorful grocery lists that are divided by section and decorated with fun pictures. These are particularly nice for getting kids involved with the shopping process.

Once you’ve bought all of your ingredients, head over to FreePrintableRecipeCards.net and pick up a colorful recipe card to record your meal. Or, if you’re shopping for more than groceries, try getting one of the 65 checklists, task planners and schedules available at PrintableToDoList.com.

My wife and I like to experiment with new foods, and are almost always pleasantly surprised. We even recently learned how to make sushi! Try making something a little different for dinner tonight, and copy the recipe down on one of my new international recipe cards from FreePrintableRecipeCards.net.

My new new recipe cards are perfect for the cosmopolitan gourmand. Some feature delicious ethnic food from Germany and Mexico, as well as the German and Mexican flags, which make colorful borders for the cards.

Also available are some cool new geometric recipe cards with black-and-white boxes, colorful abstract designs and orange-and-blue waves. These are perfect for any occasion, meal, or recipe.

There are 277 recipes at FreePrintableRecipeCards.net, all of which are free as 3×5, 4×6 or 8×10 PDF cards. Most have lined and unlined options. An editable DOC can be purchased for $7 per design and the recipe can be typed directly into the template using a word processor.

The printable play coins and bills are great as an art activity and can be filled in in any color or style. Kids can decorate the one and five dollar bills, as well as the nickel, dime, quarter, penny and dollar coins. They’re a lot of fun for playing pretend shop, too!

For children who are ready for a little more fake financial responsibility, I’ve also added kids’ checks. Teach them how to fill out a play money check with the black-and-white template, the pretty blue version or the fun orange one that’s decorated with cute penguins and stars. Who knew pretending to pay bills could be so fun?

There are 38 designs at PrintablePlayMoney.net that range from realistic bills to colorful cartoon currency. Everything is free to download and print as a PDF file.

I like to buy local when I can, and where I live in Portland there are a lot of farmers’ markets, craft booths and country fairs that produce some amazing handmade items. I had those creative sellers in mind when I came up with the new craft gift tags at FreePrintableGiftTags.net. I also added 52 monogrammed gift tags that bring the site’s total up to 300 printables, all of them FREE!

The craft gift tags are great for individual sellers or hobbyists. Decorated against bright, colorful backgrounds, they say “Handmade by” or, for gifts of sweaters and scarves, “Knitted by”. The knitted ones are particularly cute, and depict a fuzzy kitten playing with a ball of yarn.

The new monogram gift tags are great for any occasion and give a simple, elegant look to a gift. They can be used as identifying initials for weddings or graduations, or as a business logo. Each letter can be found in plain text or in a cursive font against a backdrop of autumn leaves.

All the templates at FreePrintableGiftTags.net are free to download and print as a PDF or DOC file. The PDF can be printed and written on by hand, while the DOC version can be edited in a word processor.

With the rise in self-employment, employees working from home, and the ubiquity of freelance work, there’s a need for more diverse ways to keep track of hours worked. Time cards that can be accessed electronically or printed out and written upon are one solution. That’s why I’ve added 15 new printable time cards at PrintableTimeCards.com and 20 new timesheets at PrintableTimesheets.net for calculating hours, salary and benefits in any field.

There are 43 templates available at PrintableTimeCards.com that are designed for logging hours spent working on a daily, weekly or even monthly basis. The new time cards can be printed with two or four per page. Some are tailored specifically for the services and projects of contractors, consultants and freelancers. Others are for general biweekly work, or for single- or multiple-project hourly divisions.

Each time card can be printed for free as a PDF and filled in by hand, but they’re even more useful as a $7 DOC version. These open in Microsoft Word or other compatible programs and can be customized to suit the needs of nearly any business.

The 114 printable timesheets at PrintableTimesheets.net are designed for a similar purpose, but often with more detail. The new timesheets also cover freelancers, biweekly hours, and self-employment, but they also automatically calculate gross pay, overtime and even salary exemptions.

Many of the new templates also round payment up or down depending on the time interval specified.

Like its sister site, PrintableTimesheets.net also offers a free PDF version that can be written on and a $9 spreadsheet that can be used in Excel or another XLS-compatible program.

A big part of running a small business, including retail stores, service providers, or anyone who sells on Etsy or eBay, is the endless task of keeping track of all of the information relating to sales. I created PrintableInvoiceTemplates.net to help fellow small-business owners and self-starters organize and account for their bills, receipts, expenses and services. Now I’ve added 15 new job-specific invoices to the mix.

The new invoices are tailored specifically for lawyers, morticians, graphic designers and universities. There’s space in each to fill in how much money a customer owes for each item or service as well as costs for shipping, fees and taxes. They also have pretty or professional decorations that incorporate a place for a business’s logo or image.

I’ve also added new billing invoices that include pay statements, monthly statements and cash flow statements.

What I like most about these invoices, though, is that they make calculating costs and amounts a breeze. Although you can download the free PDF and write in the numbers yourself, you can also opt to buy the $7 XLS or DOC version. The XLS spreadsheet makes calculations as soon as you put in the information, so you don’t end up with mathematical oversights or errors. It saves time and a potential headache further down the road.

There are 171 templates available from PrintableInvoiceTemplates.net that are helpful for any manager or business owner. Inventory templates, estimate forms, proposals and bids can make any transaction a little easier.
