Are you ready for the kids to get back to school? I have mixed feelings about the whole thing. I have a daughter going into high school and another still in preschool, so we’re definitely in for two different experiences this year.

In 2009, I launched TeachersPrintables.net, a site especially for classroom printables. There are now more than 240 charts, graphic organizers, classroom management tools, grade book paper, lesson plans, hall passes, seating charts, sign language guides, and much more. And I’m still adding to the site all the time.
A few months ago, I added a cool new site, PrintableFlashCards.net, where you can print flash cards and create your own flash cards as well. They’re perfect for studying for tests, or just learning fun facts.

Also popular with teachers, students, and homeschooling parents is one of my oldest sites: PrintablePaper.net. It has more than 830 printable papers, from lined and graph paper to music paper and penmanship paper.

Many other FreePrintable.net sites have forms, templates, and other printables suitable for school. For example, print award certificates (free as PDFs, $5 for editable .DOC files) for students and teachers at FreePrintableCertificates.net. And you get kids back into chore, homework, and music practice routines with chore charts from ChoreCharts.net.

RocketCalendar.com now has the option to print Islamic calendars, in either Gregorian years 2010 and 2011 or Hijri years 1431 and 1432.

The new calendars can be downloaded one month at a time (from Muharram to Dhu al-Hijjah). The calendars, which are in PDF form, also show the Gregorian equivalents of each date.

RocketCalendar.com launched in 2009 with free printable calendars the years 1900 to 2099. They’re great for planning for the future, or remembering the past. Like all the calendars at RocketCalendar.com, they’re free to download and print.

Recently, lunar calendars for each month of 2010 and 2011 were added to the site as well.

I’m super-excited about my new site, FreeWordSearch.net. I’ve wanted to do an interactive puzzle site for a long time, and it’s finally ready!

There’s a nice selection of word searches already up and ready to print at the site. Or, make your own and print it! You can choose the difficulty of your puzzle, including Easy (words down and across), Medium (adds backward words), Hard (diagonals), and Difficult (mixes in misspelled words). You can also adjust the size. It’s really fun, and great for school or home.

In fact, I’d appreciate it if you would give the word search maker a whirl. It’s free, and after you make and print the puzzle you create, you can share it (pending an brief approval process) on the site. So far, people have made puzzles about: Harry Potter, Days of the Week, Mystery Authors, Planets, and many more. They’re fun and educational!

Just born: A new selection of printable birth announcements at PrintableBirthAnnouncements.net. I started this site in 2009, and with the most-recent additions, there are now 50 designs.

There are cute printable baby boy announcements, sweet baby girl announcements, and lots of specialty announcements for multiples (twins and triplets), adoptions, and just letting friends and family know you’re expecting.

The new birth announcement designs feature adorable animals such as sea creatures and farm friends. There are also baseballs, Bible verses, and sibling announcements. Many of the designs have room for photos of the baby (or babies). Another new feature at PrintableBirthAnnouncements.net is animal birth announcements for puppies.

The birth announcements are free to download and print as PDFs, or pay $7 for a .DOC version you can edit in Microsoft Word.

When you send faxes, whether it’s via an office machine or the handy service at FaxZero.com, it’s often nice to include a cover letter, so the receipt immediately knows what they’re getting and why they’re getting it.

I’ve added 11 new fax cover sheets to FreeFaxCoverSheets.net. Most of the new fax cover sheets are functional in design. For example, there’s a cover sheet on which to detail an insurance claim, a cover sheet that is also an order form, and a cover sheet for wire transfers. There are also a handful of fun, old-fashioned designs that look like telegrams and hand-stamped postmarks.

There are nearly 200 designs to choose from at FreeFaxCoverSheets.net, so take your pick! There are cover sheets for business as well as funny fax cover sheets, holiday themes, and even faxes for kids.

The time has come – to add new time card variations to PrintableTimeCards.com. This site, which complements the selection at PrintableTimeSheets.net, offers 28 time card templates to instantly download and print.

The new time cards include new five-day and one-week time cards, cards on which to note job sites or shifts, and more. There are a dozen new cards altogether.

There’s also a variation in which time of day worked (am or pm) can be filled in using “bubbles.” There’s also a time card specifically for cleaners, so housekeepers or custodians can mark off what they spent time cleaning. Similarly, there are job-specific forms for home assistance workers (such as private nurses), salespersons, and temp agencies. There are also two truck driver logs.

All of the time cards are free in PDF format. If you’d like the ability to edit the forms before printing, such as changing words around or typing in a company name and address, opt for the $7 premium DOC download for Microsoft Word.

And get to work!

Looking for a way to keep kids occupied on a road trip, or just want to nurture creative play at home or in school? Check out the selection of free printable paper dolls on my newest site, PrintablePaperDolls.net.

The site has 30 full-color paper dolls, along with clothes, to download and print for free. They’re PDFs, and you can print them on sturdy cardstock or regular office paper. Then, just cut them out, fold down the tabs on the clothes, and have fun! (A couple of site visitors have already written to let me know that paper dolls are fun for grownups, too.)

I’ve included ballerina and princess paper dolls (they’re cute, and my daughters insisted), and there are also fairy paper dolls as well as “formal” and sports themes.

I’m planning to add more paper dolls to this site, so please let me know what types and themes you’d like to see next.

With the addition of almost 100 new printables, BusinessFormTemplate.com now has nearly 350 business forms, charts, templates and letters for small businesses and homeowners. There’s also a brand-new category for landlords and property managers, complementing an already-extensive selection of real estate forms.

The printable landlord documents include: eviction notices, inspection charts, rental agreements, lease-related letters and more. Some of the forms can be used by renters themselves.

Also among the new forms are: articles of incorporation, survey templates, inventory lists, agendas, daily cash sheets, delivery schedules, a credit history record, maintenance records, attendance sheets, employee evaluations, budgets, phone logs, a job application, janitorial checklists, memos, a meeting minutes template and a shift schedule. There is also an expanded selection of letters relating to credit, contracts, customer care, raises and more.

Many of the new forms are appropriate, not only for business owners, but for freelancers, volunteers, individuals, nonprofits and schools. There are sports sponsorship forms, silent auction bid sheets, a thermometer donations tracker and donation and pledge logs.

Each of the forms and letters downloads instantly for free in almost every case. They can be opened and edited in Microsoft Word, Google Docs, Open Office or other DOC-compatible programs. There are PDFs and XLS versions of many of the forms. You can also buy the entire business forms collection in one convenient download for $20.
